1. Born 13 Jul 1900; 13 Jul 1900, Kotka Finland. Katri was the fourth child of Otto and Ida.

2. Moll for the Purple Gang, 1920s, Detroit. Katherine was officially married to Sam Ross, a minor player for the Purple Gang. The Purple Gang was a Jewish racketeering gang that was apparently at its peak during the Prohibition. Katherine was a moll in the gang (verified by the author of a book on the Purple Gang).

Sam was quite a guy himself, and once killed a couple of guys in a liquor store. Sam died in 1947 or 1948 of causes unrelated to those killings.

Katri became an alcoholic. Katri was in a mental institution for a while, and in her later years lived with her sister Edith and Edith’s husband Mac.
